Returns & Refund Policy

Spada Jewellers — Effective June 2026


1. Our Commitment

Spada Jewellers is committed to ensuring every customer is satisfied with their purchase. This policy sets out your rights and our obligations in relation to returns, refunds and exchanges, and is consistent with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) contained in Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).

2. Change of Mind Returns

We accept change of mind returns on loose diamonds and finished jewellery pieces subject to the following conditions:

You must notify us within 14 days of the date of delivery or collection.

To be eligible for a change of mind return, the item must:

  • Be in its original, unworn and unaltered condition
  • Show no signs of wear, resizing, engraving, modification or damage
  • Be accompanied by the original IGI certificate (where applicable), original packaging and proof of purchase
  • Not have been custom made or specially sourced to your specifications

Change of mind returns are not available on:

  • Custom designed or bespoke jewellery pieces
  • Stones specially sourced to order on your behalf
  • Items that have been resized, engraved or otherwise modified after purchase
  • Fancy coloured diamonds (pink, yellow, blue or green)

Where a valid change of mind return is accepted, we will issue a refund to the original payment method within 10 business days of receiving and inspecting the returned item. Return shipping costs are at the expense of the customer. We strongly recommend using a registered, insured courier service — Spada Jewellers accepts no liability for items lost or damaged in transit during the return process.


3. Faulty or Damaged Items

Under the Australian Consumer Law, you are entitled to a remedy if a product has a major failure, is not of acceptable quality, or does not match its description. This applies regardless of whether the item is custom made or specially ordered.

If you believe your item is faulty or was damaged at the time of delivery, please contact us within 7 days of receiving the item at admin@spadajewellers.com.au with:

  • Your order details and proof of purchase
  • A description of the fault or damage
  • Photographs clearly showing the issue

We will assess your claim and, where a fault is confirmed, offer a repair, replacement or full refund at our discretion, consistent with our obligations under the ACL.


4. IGI Certified Stones

All loose diamonds supplied by Spada Jewellers are individually certified by the International Gemological Institute (IGI). The grading report issued by IGI is an independent assessment of the stone at the time of certification. Spada Jewellers does not accept returns or claims based on a customer's disagreement with IGI grading results, as these are determined independently by the laboratory.

Report numbers are laser-inscribed on the girdle of each stone and can be verified at igi.org free of charge.

5. How to Initiate a Return

Please include your name, order number, the item you wish to return and the reason for your return. We will respond within 2 business days with instructions on how to proceed. Do not return any item without prior written approval from Spada Jewellers — unapproved returns will not be accepted.


6. Refund Processing

Once a returned item has been received and inspected, we will notify you of the outcome within 5 business days. Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 10 business days. Processing times may vary depending on your financial institution.

7. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
